OK, I'm giving the eagles a break for awhile. Every year around late October / early November, I try to capture my yard birds with the fall BGD colors around peak. This short range trip only entails me to wait for the BGD colors to peak and then just stay home and shoot from a deck chair. On this day, November 3rd, 2014, I sat on my deck chair with the tripod low and photographed the little guys as they came and went between several feeders. This day was overcast with lots of dark clouds and that evening there was plenty of rain and strong winds that cleaned the leaves off of most of the branches. I usually get a few days of this type of shooting, but this year I was only able to get one day in albeit gloomy light. It was still fun and a once in a year opportunity.
Herb
#1-5 Starting with a full frame shot of the most used perches and a downy, and the background focused in on the maple leaves as a comparison shot. A few more downy woodpeckers and a house sparrow.
#1 a full frame shot of the perches and colored BGD
#2 framed the same, except the background in focus, maple leaves
Oh my, talk about pulling in the feeling of Fall and all its glory of color! Whooooweeee baby
I must say #5 #7 and #10 are flat out wonderful poses and abundant with detail and great color. Even though I think the BG is a bit over-sat I like it and you held the colors true on the subjects, excellent!
