It's strange. It's normal for white pelicans to team up and form a barrier to prevent prey from escaping, but I would expect a cormorant to be quick enough to dive under or fly away before things reached this pass.
Completely agree with all other posters. Absolutely great capture. One of those pictures that made me say "Wow" as soon as I looked at it. Congratulations on the capture and thanks so much for sharing!
