Hello PhotoFriends,

This last half of the week, I have been to The Pond a few times. It has been fun. I am so happy I have been putting the hours in to get better.

Using the Canon 800mm with the 1.4 it is very hard to find the birds quickly in the viewfinder. The teleconverter slows down focusing, particularly going from a far distance to close distance.

I can notice an improvement in my work than last year. Putting in the hours is really helping me. I really appreciate when I get autumn foliage backgrounds in some of my captures.

I hope you enjoy my new captures! Each one is 800mm+1.4 converter, 1/2500 seconds, partial metering, +1 EV unless otherwise noted.

1-6, 9 and 10 are all great BB.

I find my self coming back to 2 for the soft tones and 3 for the great feather detail and pose.

A very nice set indeed.

800mm x 1.4 is a lot of reach! I am sure it brings challenges in equal measure though.
