Only one with their feelings hurt is you bro lol. Notice how you are so quick to attack another person too. Why did you even come back to read this? Yeah...what I thought.
No I don't think he left because of this thread guys and more so what he has been seeing last few weeks and I don't blame him. Clearly this forum has been pretty uncivil lately and you know it too Ron. Why are we even talking about this he is probably already gone.
He left in good fashion, not condescending at all I agree with the guy this place gets all butthurt when someone drops critique these days. And for reasons Ron stated I think that's why he left, because he knows his work might not appeal to us. Town photographers make a lot of sense its like people like you Ron, shooting shots that don't go outside of shooting with natural light or every now and then ocf for fill. It's basic stuff tbh.
If you are reading this highconcept, goto retouchpro dude. They will like your shit there. Your exit was nice. Some people just don't like being told they suck lol....Show more →
Yeah, you would be wrong in saying I got my feelings hurt. You would also be wrong in calling me bro......cause I ain't.
Not too make this about me but the only thing that hurts is my guts from cancer surgery a month ago. A silly little post in a photo forum bears no weight on my shoulders......have a great day
Makes a lot of sense why he left now. I now think it has nothing to do with the thread either. Just reading all of this puts on a headache!
He was nice from the posts I have saw! I actually learnt something too made lots of sense. This place really likes to fight! I don't! So sorry, bye bye from me too!

And you keep coming back to the spider. Stop fighting with them if you aren't hurt.
Touching cancer story. I've been there and I would never use it as a clutch. Relax.

I am looking to onset my departure from this forums as it lacks the knowledge behind art and appears to cater more to the everyday town photographer--very flat and dry for someone like myself.
A lot of folks here remind me of my early-stage students in that they want to paint the portrait to realism focusing only on techniques(light placement, composition, careful watch to crushing on blacks and clipping of whites), then ironically...to find that it cloys after that aspiration is met and eventually entertain the idea of expressive impressionism once competent enough.
This thread seems to have ventured into the nature of feedback. Feedback is often helpful. We can learn when somebody notices something that we did not. People giving feedback have a variety of backgrounds, attitudes, and education levels. There seems to always be at least one person who is non constructive. Even just a bunch of generic positive comments can become noise. Skip any that are narrow-minded and keep looking for that person who is going to give you an intellectual response that is more about your work than about his frustration with not seeing the image he wanted.
