Thank you so much, Nate! That is exactly the look I was after so I am delighted it came across to you. Thanks for posting the photo which will surely inspire me for the next set of photos.

Very well done.
It reminds me instantly of a Rembrandt, which is a good thing.
Thanks, Ken. I am glad you like this so much. You must have gone digging in the archives to find it. As it happens, in the interim from when I first posted it, I entered it in the Professional Photographers of California annual print competition and it got a very high score, which led to my getting designated "Number Three" among the "Top Ten Photographers" in California. Quite an honor, which this photo helped me to receive.
Lighting - if I recall correctly, I used one of my Alien Bees 800 lights inside a big Photek Brolly Box for Key and a reflector for Fill. Pretty simple setup.
All the best,
Endre

Hi Endre,
What a beautiful portrait! It does fit for a princess :-)
May I ask what is your lighting setup?
Thanks,
Ken
Beautiful portrait Strad, it should be hanging on a wall in the Louvre. I also enjoyed watching your video, it's nice to be able to put a face to a fellow FM'er. Good luck to your children as they finish their studies.
Thanks so much! I am delighted you like it so much! The Louvre, eh? It is fun to have this photo resurrected form the archives to generate so much kind commentary again. I'm also glad you got to watch the little documentary and enjoyed that, too.
All best wishes,
Endre

This has been one of my favorite images on this forum. I'm glad that you won finally. It is long overdue. I hope that you have this framed and hanging in your house.
Beautiful portraits of your daughters. I have to tell you that I really enjoyed the video about yourself- I have been curious about your username every time I have seen a post of yours, have come close to asking you, and now I know. Thank you for sharing that.
Thank you, Dave! That this photo is one of your favorites on this forum with such an abundance of magnificent work from other photographers, that is hight praise, indeed! Much appreciated! I tend not to print much of my own work but this particular one is, indeed, framed. I haven't found a good place to hang it yet.
All best wishes,
Endre

Thanks so much, 2ndviolinman. I appreciate your kind comments on my photos.
Now, you have to tell me about YOUR handle!! I'm so glad you got to see the little video about me and enjoyed it so much. You probably would enjoy seeing this part of my website - devoted to photos of my violin.
