Some favorites from a couple of recent outings. I love this time of year as the ducks and raptors are now returning to SoCal... these are a few of the early arrivals.

Beauties, as always, Kirk. Guess you don't use your 300mm as much anymore?
Tony
Thanks Tony. I haven't used the 300 at all, but I will keep it. 700 is too much for some situations, so I spent Saturday fine tuning the 500 without the TC. Good to go.

I love them all, Kirk. Wonderful images. I wish you could have the reflection of the Northern Shoveler. I love the osprey pose too. Excellent work.

Thanks so much Tam... the Northern Shoveler was a pretty close flyby so I didn't get the whole reflection in the frame.
Magnificent photography. No1, the timing is jaw dropping, no 2 is so snappy with such wonderful bokeh, and no 6 is just wonderfully sharp and colourful, the others are very good but these three made my heart flutter a bit.
