I truly love making pictures where I live! This little boy was having none of me so we are going to try a reshoot in an attempt to get a good one of all three on the desert rock. But what fun was this. I could shoot these two girls all day! I hope you enjoy, critique is always welcome

These are wonderful, they have a very pleasing, sort of soft look to them, that I like a lot. Plus you did a nice job bringing out some very pleasant, natural smiles from the kids.
One question I have, is if the clouds were added, especially in the last two. It looks a little unusual to me, where the tree are out of focus, but the clouds appear in focus.

Good, but you need to watch your exposures/processing and allow for more detail. I know ETTR is the current mantra, but use it with caution. It may also be an artistic choice, but it can make the images a little too thin.

Thank you all for the kind words and critique. Yes, all the skies were dropped in. I futzed with the black and white skies a bit but do agree that the clouds are still too sharp. I plan on going back to them tomorrow to add some more blur to them. But I don't want to totally mute them as I like the pop and drama they give. Will post the re-edits! I am happy with the other skies as well as the processing :-)

what are you using to get that fisheye on the little boy on the bike? I like the perspective, but it doesn't seem even maybe mildly defish it. The sky needs a better blend.

Pop, I selectively arched the horizon in Photoshop with the arch tool. It doesn't seem even because the pond sits lower on the left side and the fence line was not even, making it seem off kilter a bit. I didn't see the need to futz with that part too much but I do see your point. No other distortion effects were put in. I arched the horizon on the pic of the three of them as well. Made the photo much more interesting. I will post a before and after in a little bit.

Okay, so I blurred the clouds more and dropped the highlights a bit on both pics. I also corrected the horizon a bit on the boy pic. Is this better? Thanks for the thoughts, everyone!

Yes, I like the blurred clouds much better on the shot with just the boy and it really works on that one. Although on the shot with all three of them, the sky still looks a little odd to me. I can't quite put my finger on why, maybe just a bit busy or something. For example, if I compare that one, to #3 of your original post, #3 just feels a little 'cleaner' or something. But that's just my personal thought, hopefully you don't mind me picking on you ;-)
