p.1 #1 · Tyrants & Mountaineers: Andean Birds, Peru

Congratulations to jfwoodman for winning Feature Thread of the Week with 3 votes - View Previous Winners

Our July trip to Peru started in the Andes range outside of Cusco. These images were taken the day we traveled from Cusco through the mountains toward the Manu cloud forest.

All but one image were taken with the 500II + 1.4xIII on the 1DX.

Thanks for stopping by!

Jim

These are terrific, Jim! (I went back to look at your first post--you do love that tyrant--look forward to #3).

Great sense of environment on all of them, perfect techs, but what really stands out is the diversity. Raptors, waterfowl, sparrows, tyrants, hummers. Looks like it was a wonderful trip, and I look forward to more cloud forest (bears repeating)!
