I've had this spot on Mt. Rainier on my radar for a couple of years, but didn't really make a strong effort to get a shot from here until this year. I've been up there a few times over the past couple of months and got some decent light that I think does the place justice enough to concede for the year. Not many foreground options to work with from the top of this peak I was on, so I tried to put emphasis on the lake and the many v-shapes leading back to Rainier.
Great shot. I am so jealous of the light people have been getting on Rainier this year. It looks like you can almost see the reflection in the mountain if you just leaned out over the drop off a bit more

Back in Mid-July on a family trip, we had outstanding weather with fantastic views of Mt Rainier pretty much all week. Unfortunately, I couldn't go out during dusk/dawn , hence the envy !!
But great work! Beautiful composition and light! Shadows are also treated nicely and are spot on for me.
