I decided to take the day off from shooting this particular day. As my recent lucky streak would have it: I leaned back in my reclining chair, looked out the window and there was a RTH with a grey squirrel right in my front yard. I ran down stairs, grabbed the mkIV/500 and the tripod, set it up low for 2 feet above ground and meandered out front behind a tree. I peeked around the tree for these shots. All shots are just shy of full frame. At one point a car passed and the RTH left the squirrel only to return and carry it out to the gravel covered street. Before another car had passed , it flew it off to the safety of the dense woods across the way.
Isn't it nice to be able to shoot wildlife in your jammies ....super series but have to say the snowys get my heart racing for what I hope will be another good winter.
