Been a long time my friends! As some of you remember, I've started on a year long quest to try to recover every photographic RAW file I've ever taken that was stolen when my truck was broken into. This adventure has been hit and miss, mostly miss, as far as the photographs of my landscapes are concerned, but the bird recovery effort has been decent. I was going to post a 500 picture post that Fred M. himself would shake his head at as he's clicking whatever he needs to make an example out of me LMAO. But instead I thought I'd post my best B grade photographs for this semi-mongo post, saving my A grade for more selective critiques and comments (mostly from Karl) at later dates! So without further blah blah....
7. What happens when you turn on a light in the middle of the night with some good buddies by a nest of Eastern Screech Owls? Bugs appear around the light, which attracts Anoles, which attracts the owls, who were more than happy to take advantage of many easy meals for their hungry young. http://www.conradtanphotography.com/Wildlife/Critters/Raptors/i-DnSWfmL/0/X2/EU6Q6602-X2.jpg
That's all for now folks! The best part of all these travels, was not these photos. It was seeing and shooting with friends, some old, some new, and I am deeply grateful to each of them for accompanying, assisting, and just simply advising me in my year long quest. Soon I'll be heading to Africa with our own Ant W for some more file recovery adventures. Stay tuned!
Welcome back Conrad! Sorry to hear about the theft!!!
These are spectacular! The bg and bokeh is just wonderful!!!
Be patient, as you are, it will take time but worth it in the accolades from your friends here!
Dan
Ya, by the looks of these you don't want me to critique quite yet
Conrad, you can't rush a good thing or event, don't be hellbent on recovery. Start fresh and enjoy and take your time my friend, let the goods come to you as you are a charmer to wildlife
it is #3 and #11 that capture my eyes here sir
Don't cram a lifetime of experience into any particular time frame, take what is given and somethings may never be repeated for you but new things will come forward for you to cherish and share..............I'm pretty dang sure of it buddy
