Thank you Gary !
I took shots at 3-4 different shutter speeds, if I remember correctly, but chose this one to keep because without freezing the water you could still see the power. I have to say I'm very pleased that everyone thinks I got the shutter speed just right - it shows I'm improving because 6 months I certainly wouldn't have

amazing scene, can only guess of the noise.
being picky, perhaps a little more in the blacks, but i am on an old laptop so that could be the issue
Thanks Parsons ! The noise was deafening .. and the spray something else too, I tried to get closer but I would have needed an underwater housing for the camera

Damn this is nice! The vertical comp is great for this. I am on the same boat as Mingzeli, I cant decide if I like the branch on top or not. It does serve quite well as a framing element and leads the eye back down to the gazebo. Sweet image!

Very nice and unique!
Are sights like this close to the major cities, or do you travel to find them?
Thanks Craig !
In China it really depends what you are looking for. There are man-made sights close to (in) the cities but if you want to see nature in all her splendour then you need to travel. Usually 2-3 hrs outside of a major metropolis but often much longer when out into the more remote regions. Those would then be like 3-5 day round trips (allowing for a couple of full days on-site) from any major city.
