Portrait taken late this afternoon with the 50 Art.

The more time I spend with the D810, the more I love this camera

Nikon D810 with 300mm VR 1 F2.8 with TC14eII and a 5 strobe manual setup. The last image is the D810 with the 600mm G VR lens and TC14eIII for a bit of a comparison.

Charles - I very much like the Burleigh heads shot, the mushrooms (toadstools?) and the flower shot. The lens seems to have such delicacy wide open.

Looking forward to seeing what you make of it with studied landscape and architectural shots. A very talented photographer recently shot our apartment in Brisbane for marketing purposes with the Nikkor 14-24 mounted on - yes, his D810 - and I was stunned at the results, which had a lot to do with what a good eye he had. I shall be interested to see how the Sigma 24A compares.

And I second your earlier comment about the D810. I have punished it as my main body in theatre shooting over the past couple of years, and I've come to depend on it and the Sigma 35 Art like they were blood brothers!

Hi Seth, thank you very much I love your portfolio of images!!

The 24 Art is a great lens and it has the same weight and footprint of the 35 Art which is excellent for a f/1.4 lens. Personally I feel the Nikkor 14-24 is an all time great, one of the best lenses out there, but just too heavy for me to carry all the time. I like the 24 FL for tight street shots in Asia, preference really is for the 28mm but I will wait for now I agree the D810 is one great workhorse!!

Couple more shots One with the 24 Art and the other 105/1.4, when there are not enough lounge chairs around the pool

This morning my 70-200 f/2.8 E FL arrived I love the speed of the AF and the lens is sharp from 70 to 200. The VR is very effective too. I have always loved the 70-200 zoom as a work horse lens.

Shot later this afternoon.

Just traded my D800e which was my personal, non sports or event camera and some old gear today for a D810. I like the subtle differences (i.e. quieter shutter/mirror) and am looking forward to playing with ISO 64. I will primarily use it with 1.8g primes for now but the excellent Sigma 35 and 50 images I've seen on this thread have me looking towards them in the future with this camera. First I have to get my back ordered 300PF for my D500. Keep those great images coming. They are inspirational!

What a great set Charles ! Very pleasant processing that looks gentle and detailed at the same time. I sold my D810, missed it so much and purchased a like-new one again.

Thank you very much Manu Congrats on your D810 .. again !!! I also purchased my D810 used for less than 1/2 price and despite the size/weight of the D810 I love this camera. The new 70-200 f/2.8E is a great lens too. Fast AF and very sharp yet gentle rendering at all FL's and 100 gms lighter than the previous. My 105/1.4 is an all time favorite but having the 70-200 f2.8E is so flexible in grabbing shots with the fast AF.
