I'm on the fence about the downright forensic quality of the new sensor, but it's a relief to find that the false colors I kept seeing in forums were not in fact moiré but compression artifacts. The improved shutter is very nice!
Superb shot. And such proximity (even if cropped-?) for a very shy bird! Would love to see a shot of the entire bird as well... nothing quite like the shy woodies to challenge photogs (especially amateurs like myself) and show the full spectrum of true versus false colors, moire, etc. Thanks for posting.

Nothing special, and just an attempt to familiarise myself with star trails...
