Giving the D810 a bit of a workout. A two exposure blend with the milky way being shot with a 13 minute exposure at ISO 800 and the foreground shot at 10 second at ISO 200 just after sunset. This long exposure with the D810 is one of the best single exposures I have ever done of the milky way. I have shot it many times on Canon gear and not even close to the quality and correct color as the D810 has achieved. Love this camera!
I must admit I'm enjoying this camera immensely, which is hard to admit coming from a film fanatic
Unlike my D700 images, I find myself not needing to do much fiddling in post.
One thing I must suggest, is to skip the Adobe profiles completely, even the V2 Beta ones, and just use the Huelight profiles. I'm happier with those profiles than I am with those made with Adobe DNG Profile Editor using a 24 colour XRITE colour checker chart.
