Patagonia offers immense light possibilities with the full range of spectrum. This is my next take on Argentina's most famous peak, Cerro Torre. I left my tent when it was still dark and hiked towards the laguna. I was traversing the moraine and watching the light changing with every step of my hike. That morning I took many photos, but I like this one the most because of the first sun rays hitting the peaks. The sky behind me exploded with orange and pink hues warming entire landscape. It was one of the most colour intense sunrises I have seen in Patagonia. This is a single exposure with 24mm at 0.5 sec f11.
Thanks everyone
Patagonia is one of those places in the world that you never get tired of. It is one of the most photographed places and for a good reason. It is a hiking, photography Mecca that has all that landscape photographer could wish for. Incredibly beautiful mountains, fantastic light and ever changing weather. On my first visit to this land at the end of the world I was wondering if I would be able to find any unique angles and spots to photograph. I was surprised how many possibilities Patagonia has to offer.
For those who are wondering where the strong colour glow comes from I include screenshot of the untouched raw photo of the sunrise behind me. It was taken few minutes before my "Daybreak Glow" shot.
Very cool... I really like the way the clouds are spraying out there. Awesome color, and a different look. I like the tree anchoring the shot as it does.
Just noticed that I forgot to address Gregg's question....well, Gregg, I don't think that you can take a photo tour group there, unless they really like to hike. It is about 2 hrs off the main trail that majority of tourists /photographers use. Hike is not very hard, at least in my opinion, but again it depends on person's hiking experience and physical condition.
