#4 is my favorite, I recently picked up a copy of the 200 f2 and I want to do some same types of shots with my family. I really love the painterly backgrounds that this lens can achieve.

Hmmm. I mean, they look great. But the separation is almost too much for me. Makes me wonder if I should still be pining over a 200 f/2 or not. Or maybe I should get the 1.8...

The separation is too much but you want to get the 1.8? You don't have to shoot wide open with it. For me, the sharpness and speed of focus alone is worth it. It's sooo sharp, it's almost ridiculous. Plus, if I'm gonna pay 5 g's for a lens, I'm gonna shoot that baby wide open.
