Two weeks ago I spent a fantastic day at the beach! Although I am not typically a beach goer, this was different! The day started out rainy, foggy and just plain dreary. It was a long drive for me, a 250 mile drive, each way from PA. I kept questioning myself whether I should go or do this trip some other time. Morris was very kind to inform me that there are American Oystercatcher chicks and now is a good time, so I made the journey. I could not have been happier! Yes, I fought traffic, sat in backed up traffic jams, but finally when I arrived, the beach was empty of people, the light became soft and luminous, and there were birds to photograph everywhere!

Yippeeeeee!!!!

Special thanks again to my friends Morris and to Herb for making me aware of Nickerson's Beach!!!

The low angle and creamy background makes for a beautiful set. You need to make that trip more often!

These are splendid Nick....glad you made the trip I'm sure. I haven't been there myself even though I am way closer....one day perhaps.
