I've just returned from five days of photography in Washington's beautiful Olympic National Park. A pristine area of wilderness that has come to be one of my favourite places to visit and photograph. Here are a few favourites...
I hope you enjoy! More of my photographs can be found at the following links:
Well done, Jess. I'm glad that you like the beauty that my state has to offer. I particularly like #1, a well-planned composition from, perhaps, the most-visited beach.
Nice work here on these. I do need to get back up in that area sometime. #1 and #4 are my favorites, but #2 and 3 are nice too. The only one that didn't work for me was #5.
Like these - last one i am not crazy about either. Great lighting in the 2nd and 4th one. Heading up there this weekend I do think - hope i get some light like you had
Favorite is number one. Right around this time of the years is probably the best time to go there. I used to camp there at least once a year, beautiful place.
Nice images Jess. Reminds me of Vancouver Island in many ways. 2 & 3 are my favorites. I find the FG in 1 a bit dark. For me the compo in 4 isnt working. 5 - I like many elements of the image, the tones in the sky, the crashing wave, the ocean, but for some reason I just am not finding the birds working. They are all quite nice though!
Nice work, Jess. I try to get up there about once a month. Your first two are very nice; I'm a sucker for good coastal shots. Being a fan of Oystercatchers, I'd like No. 5 to work better. As VanIsle pointed out, many nice elements are there. What makes those birds interesting are their bright orange beaks and orange-ringed eyes. Maybe find a way to bring those out?
