Beautiful set. I especially like the framing and titles. Will you share your secret for framing and titles?
Thanks,
Jack
Jack:
Sure, I'll share. I do it in Photoshop. With a image active in Photoshop, duplicate the layer (Ctrl_J); then go to image=>canvas size; with the dot in the center of the anchor point box I put the width at 0.5 inches and the height at 0.5 inches and check the relative box, hit enter; go back to image => canvas size again, then I move the anchor dot to the top center of the anchor box and add about 0.5 or 0.75 inches to height, depending on how many lines of text I plan to add - leave width at zero, hit enter. I next use the type tool and add the copyright line. You can record everything up to now in an action; stop the action and give it a name ~ then all of these steps can be automated in the future. Then just add the unique title lines for this image. Font size to taste. I lower the opacity of the font line to 75% when I've finished the line.
Wonderful job and great eye for composition. I like the shots from Botany Bay the most - something about the isolation and the tranquil waters moves me. Thanks for sharing.
Really wonderful captures! 1, 3 and 4 are my favorites, but all are keepers.
My daughter goes to College of Charleston - I love the city and area. I will have to check out the Briley's.
I had never heard of Botany Bay...what a cool place...I might just have to go there next week when I am over there...thanks for sharing these...very nice set.
Beautiful photos, especially 1st and 3rd. I know it's a famous location and people get criticized for showing icons, famous locations, sunsets or sunrises these days, but I really love this location. Thanks for sharing.
Stunning imagery that really makes me want to visit the place! Wow, very well done. I especially like the subtle colors and the simple composition of Charleston Day Dream, and the seemingly infinite row of oaks in Walk To Eternity...
