Excellent and quite appealing. Although I have seen this effect before, I think this is well done. More exploration is a good idea.

Ian, this is art. Sure, some people may not like it, but some people didn't like the Mona Lisa, either. This is edgy, it's hip, and I just totally dig it.

I agree with Peter maybe less sharpness and even slight out of focus or blur might have helped even more.

I agree perhaps a little less sharpness would help convey the sense of bashed up film / lens.

(If lots of hard work has been done you could try just taking the edge off the eyelashes so the scratches and FX don't get made too soft.)

Love the images and the crops. I can imagine this working as a large set of three images on a wall with no frames, (but not canvas... hate canvas...)

Great work. Inspired me to think differently about my next portraits.

Thank you for the feedback. I tried various levels of sharpness and this worked best for me but I see what you're saying.

These are, btw, all from the same photo. I think that helps it work.
