Its been a while since I made one so I don't remember the brand of focal reducer i used. The key to this modification was that it was using the AF electronics from the regular EF to EF-M adapter.
>Valentis, I don't think there is an adapter that electronically connects nikon to EF and so AF / aperture control is not possible.
In term of dimensions the focal reducer is shorter than regular adapters.
At the time there was only the original EOS-M and so although the AF worked it was slow. This type of AF capable focal reducer adapter maybe more viable now with the increased AF speed of the M5.
I have the original adapter and the first EOS M (and the first camera) I would use the wiring from it for that Nikon or any reducer. (change the lens side instead of camera side)
I am thinking of buying m5 - if I can fix the focal reducer, it will be for me push to go buy m5.
I found on ebay also Zhongyi focal reducer to sony, maybe I will buy that and try to combine.
Unless you are using canon EF lenses the electronic wiring does not do anything.
The only thing you might be able to get is lens exif data which might be able to turn the in body stabilization on but than the focal reducer is going to alter the focal length so it still wont work well.
What are you trying to achieve?
If you want full frame in a small package a sony a7 series would probably be better, although the quality of AF capable adapter for Nikon is questionable.
I want to use canon EF lenses on Ef-m body, with fulframe agle of view - since I dont have money for buying a7 camera
I would replace the nikon part with canon mount. And use wires from regular adapter.

I have the original M too and after looking at sites like DxO and samples found no reason to "upgrade". The high ISO noice and DR are about the same from 400 and up and that's what I usually use. The main differnses are the base ISO DR and AF speed. Did I say that I almost exlusivly use MF on my M...
Whatever. If you want the fullframe look a get a fullframe camera. Like a USED A7 or 5D. I have the 1D2, It's not totally FF but can be had for less than $200. ヅ

I saw that one! And then I saw the samples provided that was the time when I realized the futility in getting a good IQ out of a "reversed TC"... Seemed to be good workmanship though and the 'tag of $250 would have been realistic if the gizmo had performed!
