Thanks everyone for the nice comments. I am very appreciative. For a very short time I was on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson with the Sigma Merrill Dp1m. Mostly shooting into a bright dramatic sky. Made for some interesting images. Can someone identify these planes. I think they are Hornets.

Nice shots Joe, those are indeed F-18 hornets. The prop plane in the one picture is a E-2 hawkeye.

Nice Julian, looks like quite a large tidal swing, I guess they get enough time to do some maintenance before the tide comes back and refloats them. Timing is everything.
