Sharing a new favorite of my little 2 year old BOY (yes, he's a boy) and one of our sweet hens that we hatched last year. Chickens + cute kids + pretty light - can't go wrong.
I edited a few more so I thought I might as well add them here also. The colors and contrast vary a bit from photo to photo as the sun was setting rapidly as I took these. This next one was actually one of the first ones I took, in sequential order - so it's a little warmer and hazier than the others.
Excellent picture as always, Lisa. Quick question, is it dangerous at all for your child or chicken? Don't chicken have sharp claws and beak and aren't tame to let people hold gently?
Coming from a farm upbringing and having pet chickens, I love everything about this shot! There is something about his hands and the hold that is really captivating to me.
Awesome capture and can't wait for the post of the one of Gabriel and this chicken!
Thank you guys! No - I wasn't worried about either of them - child or chicken. Most of our chickens have been raised by us since they were hatchlings. This one we actually hatched ourselves. She is very sweet. We have a couple of cranky old hens but even they calm down when being held. That said, I always choose a sweet, docile hen when combining chickens and kids for photos.
Wonderful image, Lisa. I like this one the best -- so far -- of your chicken series. Seems to have a little more light on the subject. Are you using your reflector here?
OMG! What a beautiful picture. It is perfect, colors, lighting, expression, and he is soooooooo cute.
This one made my day. Again Lisa you don't disappoint. I can hear my wife now, "oh I want to hug him".
