with the 7100: Sandisk Extreme

or any card that has a proven track record of internal xfr of 30MB/s. the D7000 and 7100 are near identical for this. the buffer is the same so with the 7100 you get 7 shots vs 10 on the 7000.

the advantage to the higher speed card is when used with a USB3 reader you can get avg 80MB/s+ reads. dumping the data from the card is relatively fast.

Interesting, my 32GB Sandisk Class 10 should be ok for my needs then. Thanks for that info.

I'm looking to upgrade my Nikon D70. I shoot High school and college sports, baseball, softball, football and lacrosse.
I'm just a dad taking pic's of my kids and some shots for other families, posting a few on the teams web page. Any help would be appreciated. I've been advised to look at the D7100, to a used D300 and no I can't justify $6k on a new body. Thanks

or a D7000. i didn't find the D7100 a palatable update to the D7000. a little bit of give and thats all.
