Sunny, what a great shot. Love the composition, the landscape format really suites the image. The subtle warmth of the sun being engulfed by the cool of the darkness plays off each other really nicely. Excellent shot.

The only way I can imagine of improving this would have been shooting from atop a 10-foot step ladder- thus permitting a bit less of the foreground snow bank and a bit more of the canyon depth just beyond it.
But you probably didn't have such a ladder with you at the time .
