Beautiful image, but I'm not sure I like the golden tone to it.
IMHO, the fact that the image has such a strong overtone and works so beautifully is part of what makes it. Normally that would feel a bit contrived, but in this image everything works. Lots of nice portraits out there but this one, to me, is remarkable.
Outstanding work you have been putting up Alex. For someone who claims to be just learning this style of post processing you are hitting it out of the park. I can't wait to see what your work will look like down the line. I know in some of your other thread there has been the comment that the skin is over smoothed. Regardless of people tastes for skin processing, it's hard to deny that your images stop one in their tracks.
The only thing that keeps popping up in my mind is the slight greenish tint to this photo. Although it could just be the screen i am using.
Verrrry nice. Great picture. As opposed to "Portrait of the Girl," you add the processing but still maintain the subject's naturalness (skin texture, freckles, etc.), while adding "the flare." THIS is great stylization. I read that your "Portrait of the Girl" picture was intended to be along these lines (magazine/model), but it doesn't have the same follow-through as this one.
