This is a very unusual sight. Is there any way you can give the photos a bit more pop? This is a wonderful sequence you have captured.

Thanks Morris, unfortunately the sky was full of smoke do to a wildfire
in the foothills and if I add more "pop" it comes out looking unnatural.
I did tweak it a bit and put the final images on my website.

I suspect that few birders have ever seen anything like this, much less get such good photographic coverage as you did.
I have to think that some pretty big-time magazines would be really happy to bid for the first time North American publishing rights for the series.
And there is Europe. And Asia/Pacific.
And other nature/wildlife organizations.
You were extremely lucky to be in the right place at the right time, and you were skilled enough to capture it successfully.
Now make some dough with this series .
