I just spent a couple of hours pouring over this thread and showing images to my family. I gotta say, you folks are a talented bunch and I take great inspiration from your work. I'll try to screw up my courage to post something here this year. Kudos to you all!

Good gracious, some of these images ought to be in Nat Geo or Audubon! So true but the those are the mediocre shots, lots are better than Geo or Audubon!!!!

So glad this thread is still going because it really is a joy to see everyone's work. Looking back on some of the photos I have even more of an appreciation of them. I recently went through some old shots and actually found some favourites that I overlooked the first and even second time around.
This is the same Osprey that I posted in my first entry in dive mode. This shot is almost an hour after the dive shot. He was cleaning up on that day.
This is another at the pond that I initially overlooked. It's fun to look through old photo outings and find one that for some reason you missed.
I was kicking myself for not bring a tripod for this encounter. At 500mm and 1/15ss I was struggling but I still like how this one turned out.

Wow, I have reserved commenting throughout most of this thread and used just the like button. But, I had to come on and say that you did an amazing job with the baby owl shot in those conditions and at those ridiculously low SS and handheld

Wow Candor you knocked this set out of the park. The first the bird and fish are perfect and the last the background is sensational. An excellent addition!!!!!

Thanks, Tim. The bear is my favorite by far. Off topic, but I will be in Redmond / Bellevue next month. Any recommendations for shooting wildlife not too far away - certainly would like to get some Snowy Owls .
I usually travel to Bellevue every few months. LOVE Olympic Peninsula and Rainier.
