Steep Rock Manitoba is a very small lake shore town. So small there isn't even a store there but the beautiful cliffed shores make up for it. I try to get here a few times a year. It would be more but it is a 3.5-4 hour drive one way from my place. There a many great curves alone the shore's cliffs but this one in particular is my favourite and so I have many variations of it from my visits there. So I though I would throw a series together.
Sweet series Scott. I like the first one. The storm clouds and light are great. Is there a landmass at the horizon because in all the series there is a straight black line there?
What a cool series here. #3 is my favorite, I like hwo the sun is being worked in it. With #2, I want to make that a favorite, but I think the horizon is too sharp in it, giving it a feel like the sky was just pasted onto the foreground. I would soften that horizon just a hair... that should help it have a natural feel.

Thank you Jason. Yes, the lake is not wide at this place so you can see the trees on the other side.
Scott-
I pay my highest compliment: The Peanut Gallery thinks these pictures are swell .
Individually they are all incredible in their unique ways.
As a series... mere words are insufficient.
