Had to haul out the holiday stuff a tad early for this assignment. A tribute to the original religious holiday celebrated my many of us each December.

For a few moments, all was still and silent.

The word holiday comes from the Old English word hāligd�g (hālig "holy" + d�g "day"). The word originally referred only to special religious days.
