Do zebras actually work? I have not seen any correlation between blown highlights and zebra stripes. Whenever it indicates anything with them, I see no issue when i load the photo in LR5.

You can turn on zebras to see clipped highlights.

If you also have the light leak issue with your A7, why would you choose to not get it replaced? Maybe these two things are related and you just got a bad copy of the A7.
Fair point, although I don't have a lot of faith that a replacement would not have light leak - it appears to be a pretty widespread problem.
I've tried a couple of other lenses and none of them cause the mount to creak/clunk/click anywhere near as much.

It is based on the JPG displayed, not the raw captured, so other settings can affect its accuracy. For example Menu/Gear/2/Live View Display/Setting Effect OFF would defeat it. I found this out in practice today, and turned the Setting Effect ON again.

I have my picture style set to neutral and -2 contrast....seems to make zebras more in line with the RAW file.

Guys
Whats the work around to not being able to set min shutter speed on A7?
In A mode, if i manually set a high ISO value...will it then set a higher shutter speed?
In M mode? Does it allow Auto ISO in M mode? If yes then its easy.

One more question...i can't search the answer which is already there in this thread:
Metabones offer 2 nikon adapters: Nikon G to E mount adapter and F to E mount adapter...
Which one? I have both type of lenses...with and without the aperture ring.

For people using the play memories app with their iOS device, is there functionality to control shutter speed and autofocus? I just put the app on my android device and it seems all I can do is press the shutter and set it to a 2s timer, and exp.comp.
First of all, this is a rumor coming via Kakaku and not from my sources. So take it with a grain of salt. Chinese sources at Kakaku claim to have got reliable info from Sony that these will be the next Sony FE lenses:
16-35mm f/4.0 Zeiss
35mm f/1.4 Zeiss
90mm Sony G macro
All reliable info I got from my sources is that there is a new Sony announcement in about 4-6 weeks. And one anonymous sources told me two new FE lenses will be released by then (the wide angle zoom and the fast prime).

Sony is saying an ultra wide f4 lens. I don't think 16mm qualifies as an ultra wide. I personally hope its wider like 14-24.
Thanks for info about the new remote control app, its just great that focusing works fro my android.
I'm having one problem with the Remote Camera app, I can only save the image in JPG format.
I found out is the only way at the present time to use the remote camera app. Sony says they are working on an upgrade and I'll be notified when it happens. Hopefully will be able to save in raw and do some bracketing also.

When it comes to FF, 16mm is UWA.

I guess everyone can decide what UWA means for them, since there's no strict definition. But anything wider than 24mm qualifies for me. Certainly 16mm does, as it's even wider than I typically shoot when I want to shoot ultra wide...

I wonder what category a fisheye would fall into, something like "ultra mega wide". Zeiss calls everything 21mm and under ultra wide.Sigma calls there 8-16 a SUPER WIDE-ANGLE, the 12-24 ULTRA WIDE-ANGLE and the 24mm just Wide Angle. I'm voting for 12-24 because I love to shoot ULTRA WIDE.
