No barn for me on this one. These belong to a cobbler and pedorthist I know (storefront display).
Kinda interesting as I think about it. He still uses several machines that are actually around +/- 100 years old. Yet, they are anything but a relic as he uses them daily and he'll likely never replace them. They are as strong today as they were the day they first came into his shop (3rd gen owner).
But, while his machines will outlive all of us all ... hopefully, the Polio that caused so many to wear braces such as in the image is largely a thing of the past. I suppose Polio and other afflictions that impair people's ability to walk isn't the most popular or recognizable subject on the minds of today's digitized society ... but I figure some of us may recall it and be able to appreciate its demise.
