Wowza! I can't believe it ate the whole thing. How it managed to get such a big fish into its little stomach is beyond me.

It is amazing the parents were cooperative enough to allow you to photograph this behavior.

Now that's a terrific set Morris, made all the better by the fact that the fish isn't much smaller than the tern chick.

A joy to view - how could anyone not have a smile on their face looking at these!!

According to the order of these shots, the initial problem might have been that the parent kept giving the wrong end to the chick, and the fish's scales inhibited swallowing.
In any case, Morris, this is an incredibly good series.
My smile turned to a laugh as I scrolled.
By the time I got to the end I was laughing my ass off.
What a treat! Thank you kind sir.

Really terrific sequence here Morris... and of course, I love the l;ow shooting angle.

I didn't think the chick would be able to swallow the whole fish... very cool to see the parent helping.
Excellent work and I really loved seeing this set.

Really great series.... hard to believe that they do many times a day. It also seems like the adult is a new parent, since it did not know how to feed the chick.
