John: Sorry I missed your post initially. Your idea is in line with what Denis (widgic) has offered. I'd have to check on the availability of wireless from pitchside. I know there is wireless for the fans, but that wouldn't serve me well, so I'd have to figure out whether the wireless for media would be accessible. Problem is that while I can imagine that doing all of the halftime work from the field would be possible, I just can't imagine myself doing it that way. Might just have to adjust that limited view of myself, though, because it probably is the only alternative to the problem I've cited. Thanks for the idea.
Thanks, Tim. I do feel fortunate to have this opportunity to shoot the qualifier. Felt the same way when the women's team played here a couple of years ago. I'm glad they've got Rio Tinto Stadium on their radar.
Guy: Just a flesh wound.
Welcome to the club, Rick, and thanks for your feedback.
Thanks, Bryan. That early evening sun peeking through the roof of the stadium made for some nice captured moments.
Hey thanks, Andy. It's the Canon 15mm f/2.8 fish. Fun little lens.
Bill: Thanks for your comments. Glad you liked 'em.
Thanks, Dan! I spent a few days in Seattle a couple of weeks ago. My daughter just moved into a house with some friends in a real nice residential neighborhood. I can never get over how beautiful it is there in your neck of the woods.
Hey Matt, thanks, buddy. I appreciate your comments.
Trevorma: Thanks!
picboy: Thank you. I've been overdue to come up with some decent soccer shots.
Thanks, Tim. I agree about #2! I hadn't realized until I saw the photo that he stopped that shot by sitting on it. Whatever it takes...
Denis: Thanks for the suggestion, which isn't stupid by any stretch, but I don't know that I can pull it off. (See additional thoughts about this in my response to John above.) I know I'll be mentally wrestling with this idea for a while.
