The Thompson Ridge fire here in New Mexico has been burning for over a week now and it so sad to see the effects of the forest destruction. The smoke from the fire makes for some sadly wonderful light but the price for this is much too high.
Terrific shot Klaus. sorry about the fire. We deal with fires all the time here as well, and I hope this wasn't the result of carelessness or intent. That said, the color of light it created here is amazing!

The forest fire renewal is a pain and is fine when nature does the renewal but when it is caused by the hand of man is when its so sad to see.
