I put out feeders in April and have at least 2 hummers that come to my feeders....a couple times a day....you have more in one photo than I get all summer....but OTOH I have more cidadas than you do
Eric ! If it makes you feel better about your cicadas, this summer here it's TICKS!
I wonder why they seem to be so tolerant of each other and in such large groups in your location but so outright nasty to any other hummingbirds here in AZ in winter. Do you see any aggressive behavior at your place?
Norm
Thanks for the tips Tony! I love the first shot - reminds me of a herd of cattle being put to feed.
But alas, over the years, I think I have only seen one hummer in our area of Montaney.

We don't get a lot of hummers Eric. They get Hummers like we get finches
Thanks for the tips Tony! I have admired your bathing shots for years and keep saying I'm going to set up a little waterfall. Our ratio just south a couple of hours seem to be inverted from your rufous to anna ratio. I've got an idea after watching the evening feed I am going to have to try, I need some of your patience.
You are the benchmark for HB shots Tony, and I admire your passion to share. Top notch photos from a top notch person. We are lucky to see your photos.
