FORM - its funny you post this. I just ran in to this. A great guy I work with has his daughters wedding coming up in May 2014. He asked me to reach out to her and send her my site since he loved my work. So I did. Never heard anything from her. I was not going to send another email and bother her, especially because I work with the guy and dont want it to seem like I was desperate.
So 5 months go by and I forgot about her. I get an email from her today that she is ready to meet with me and book. WHat really sucks is this is going to be a high end wedding with some really great people. I would have loved to do the wedding. But 2 days ago I booked her date with a cool bride I met with on Monday.
I feel so bad telling her that I am booked, but at the same time I wishI could just say look you waited 5 months to even acknowledge me. Screw you. HAHA
With that said, anyone want a fun wedding in Hershey PA May 24, 2014?

Man, funk the iPhone and the Galaxy. Blackberry z10 or the q10 with keyboard. That's where it's at.
If you're like me and like to actually use your smartphone to communicate with clients and the outside world, there is nothing better than Blackberry.
If you want to watch Youtube and play games, either iPhone or Galaxy works just fine.
I think I finally found something I dont agree with you on. Crackberries are pieces of dung. My jailbroken iphone is killer and does more than most people need.

You can (and should) do whatever you like. But as for me, when I get to shooting Fri-Sat-Sun-Mon, I'll most certainly raise my prices.
4 weddings in a weekend? Why? I will never do that. I just don't understand why people pride themselves on being so overly booked. Come the 4th wedding, you're going to be so dead that you are now doing a dis-service to your client. Hope that doesnt come back to bite you.
Nikon - As for doing a wedding 4 days in a row. That doesnt have anything to do with your prices being too low. Most people that book me are between $2800-$4800. I have had weekends that are popular and people wanted me Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I say first come first serve and I won't do more than 1 in a weekend. It is more of an availability thing than price thing. Raising my prices would have done nothing. Or it might have pushed them all away. But regardless. I only shot 1. I like life too much than to push through 3 or 4 weddings in a weekend. Not worth it.

I believe they followed through from the beginning and my ISP failed to deliver the emails and that it was not their fault that my ISP is dropping emails from Canada. I don't feel they deserve to be punished for the internet's failure, so I have made arrangements to be available to shoot their wedding.
Sorry to pick on you tonight I do not feel this is your ISP's fault. I find it hard to believe that in 2013, technology is going to fail like this. Also, why are you using your ISP's email? Why are you not using your own business email. ANyone who runs a business needs to use a business email address like [email protected] not [email protected] or [email protected]

Two of the bookings were short notice. Tonight's was a second shooter job, tomorrow was short notice, and the following two were both planned well in advance. Only the last wedding is longer than 4 hours, however - which makes it doable. I could not and would not book that many full, 6-12 hour weddings in a row...
But it's not a point of pride for me to be shooting them. More like...I booked my weekend full for the money, and I sacrificed my off time. Not something I want to do, but sometimes I need the income more than I need the off time.
