Why shoot a D600 in DX mode with an FX lens? Is VR turned off on the lens?

Solved all the setup and adjustment issues. Really happy with the results. The manual is all but useless. Here's an ok, right out of the camera with all the right settings.

It's on the lens. Something sticky. Have to clean it with the right stuff. Thanks. You mean the upper left corner, correct?

Yes... upper left. Looks exactly like dust on the sensor.

Glad you got that figured out...but what I want to know is when were you in my bedroom to take that shot of the pitcher...that's exactly how my walls look.
