same here with me on Nikon Canada. left focus their answer impact damage after two months. I ask them to show me the damage. They said it is very light damage and will fix it out of good faint. I wrote a lengthy letter to Nikon office with proof from all over the web and test images. The tech guy have to call me back that the camera is not impact damage. Never in my life I would preorder anything ever again.

Unless someone knows what percentage of Nikon sales that B&H accounts for, it's tough to answer. Or, maybe B&H is closed every time Nikon tries to contact them.
It really doesn't - retailers like B&H have too many vendors to have to get involved in disputes between the user and the manufacturer in almost any case beyond providing accurate info.
It would be nice, but it would be expensive on the part of B&H, and probably not give much in the way of results.
That said, I'm pretty disappointed in Nikon for their direction in warranty support, especially as it related to the D800.

We will reach out to a vendor or US distributor on behalf of a customer almost any time we're asked. From prior experience I know some efforts are more likely to be fruitful than others.
