Wonderful as usual, Lisa. Babies don't smile (#13, yeah right)
#2/#8, nice couple of folded hands and feet.
#9, Proud Mama, capture her love and motherhood.
Outstanding shots - it's easy to understand how you or anyone would be pleased with these. But from all your work that I have seen, if there were a People Photoraphy Hall of Fame, I would gladly vote for you. I wish you all the best taking pics of your own new one - which is coming soon if I remember correctly?
wonderful images, I'm glad that someone else is finally seeing that its not a competition between crazy poses and props.
I have seen so many videos online youtube and then creative live and its all about selling poses and props to people these days. You see creative live casts filled with women with pen and paper writing down feverishly every single prop/pose/light they can in order to emulate so they can go post it on pinterest and blogs. most of the people on there dont even know their own camera, they just go out and buy a Canon 5DMKII/III because they saw an instructor on creative live using one. You can tell because half of the course its people saying "how do you set that on the camera" or "what camera setting is that" But they will for sure know how to pose a baby awkwardly or hang them from a blanket in a tree perfectly but the image is blurry with incorrect white balance and heavy skin smoothed and bleached.
Your images are wonderful and I hope to be on that level someday.
You captured the very essence and natural beauty of a newborn and I can't wait to see more work from you.
Lisa, Stunning as always!! love the toe shots!!! Looks like little perfect hands, You made a comment about not photographing babies too often, don't you have 25 kids!!! HAH

Lisa, one question.....did you "just" use natural light or did you have a reflector or something else around? The light seeming surrounds the baby....so soft....a window close by?
My comment: I have been a fan for awhile, but your statement at the start really hit home. I thought i was going to be forced to do a newborn a couple of months back....you are so right that the prop thing has gone crazy. I love the simplicity and honesty that is imparted on your series here. Makes me want to grab the camera and find a newborn....
