Very nice work Chris, you sure were seeing things well when composing these! I'm going to second that the last 2 are a bit too bright and overwhelm the subject. On the other hand that adds to the surreal look of them. I guess I don't know what I like
Tim
Thank you Tim for your thoughts. They are much appreciated.
I will try to tweak the last two.

Chris, very creative work here with this common subject. The diffused light I am sure was helpful, these have a neat glow to them, the lemon yellows and lime greens are wonderful, very cool to tie in the details like you did on #1 and #2
I really am enjoying how #4 is playing on my mind, at first the comp seemed wrong then it just hit me good! On this shot if you could get more detail into the tight area of the whites it might work better?? This one could maybe just be darkened overall?
The group here seems to represent a 'style' of presentation that you like, I am good with that
Manny thanks Karl for you comments.
Yes, the BG's come in a bit strong here. I think I will need to bounce some light back at the subject with a reflector.
That would lower the exposer and tame down the brightness of the BG. A female assistance would be handy.
About the 'style', one day I will have my own style and until then I will do what I feel works best at the moment.

I really love the style of these shots- the colors, the subject, the composition.
#4 and #5 look like a little ghost desperately holding on to a blade of grass while the wind blows, and that is very neat!
#1 is a refreshing and different perspective, and I really like how the yellow frames and accentuates the subject.
#2 is very appealing to me the way it is. I really like the blurred out blades of grass in the background as I think they add depth and demonstrate congruence with the vertical petals in the flower bud.
Thank you Charlie for taking the time for this extended comments. Much appreciated.
It's nice to hear you like them this much.
I don't think I can live up to them all the time but I sure will try.

I struggle with anything remotely like these so I am always intrigued by the vision people have to capture images like them. The first is my clear favorite but I would love to be able to "see" all those shots. Very nicely done.
Eric
Eric, I'm not sure if I can help you "see" those image.
I start to look out for small things that might work. Then I go down to the ground and look at it through my macro lens.
Doing so and especially when working around f5.6 or wider will open up a whole new world.
Glad you like them.

Not much macro in this forum. Very nice to see. I think my fav is #3.
Brian, I see them more as floral and close-ups ..... otherwise I'm in the wrong forum.
Besides, most of my FM friends are here and I can't handle another board.
Thanks for the pick.
