I'll throw in my vote for the TT Airpot International vII. I've used it for several trips where I carried both a DSLR rig and mirrorless rig. I have the short divider set so that I can carry either a laptop or a couple of iPads.
The beauty of the bag is that it looks like every other carry-on. I'm in the U.S. and I have yet to have my bag weighed, so it's always come with me. They just herd me with the rest of the cattle to get the flight off on time. On tiny regional jets in the midwest or going to the Carribean, I've gate-checked the bag several times, never a problem. I would not use this bag for checked luggage where they hurl your gear around, but the gate-checked stuff seems to be handled with more care in my experience. I just use the TSA locks on the bag.
If you're paranoid about damage and possibly having to check the bag, the Pelican is the best option. But I've got all my gear insured, and am willing to take the risk of it getting tossed around a bit so long as I can keep everything with me for most of the trip. One solution for the weight issue is carrying a collapsible flat-packing bag in the front pocket, and keeping your lenses in pouches. If you're asked to comply with weight requirements, make a big show of taking the second bag out and slowly transferring the gear around, holding up the rest of the passengers. Eventually they'll wave you through, or you'll comply. My wife also carries a big purse
Took some quick snaps of my Domke roller bag. I have both bodies D700 and F6 with grips and they sit even with the top, so it is plenty deep. My 50/1.4G with hood on gets swallowed up. Has a nice compartment for the laptop and comes with a padded sleeve. I forgot to take a photo of the included tripod bag, but it is high quality and made from same material as the main bag.
