Eric, Beautiful set!! First one is like WOW!! BeeBalm
Thanks BB...they are quite special little birds and I was pretty lucky to see the adults as well as a juvi. Now if I could just get the adult to pose off a chain link fence that would be sweet.

Terrific set, Eric, with #1 being my favorite; its composition is especially clean.
Charlie
Thanks Charlie, we had an hour to try to find and photograph these before leaving for the airport so I was particularly happy to get a shot like that.

Very sweet birds Eric and great shots !
Many thanks...it is one of those birds I've been trying to get a good shot of for a couple of years. Luckily my friend knew where they like to hang out.

Great work Eric, the first one is splendid!! This is a bird that is on many of our bucket lists and you have a bucket full of them! You've been holding out, I thought you only had the male. Wow juvi and female 3 is a lovely shot of Mrs V. Great set Eric, I'm still smiling looking at these!
Tim
Ok, ok...my head's about to explode I got the female and juvi on the last morning right before we had to leave to go to the airport. Don't you love it when your buddy says, "I know where some hangout but we only have an hour"....and he delivers big time! The female literally popped on the tree as we were leaving the parking lot and I jumped out to get a couple of shots....just magic!
I'll post some of the males but am still bummed that they are on metal fences...maybe next year.

A great job on these Eric. 1 is super, but I'd be happy with any of them ~ Ron
Thanks so much Ron...I wasn't quite expecting to get anything other than a male...in fact wasn't sure I would recognize the female or a juvi so having a buddy who knows his stuff is a big big help.

Very kind of you to say Socrate. I'm working hard to improve my skills with birds...not as intuitive with me for some reason.

Eric, nice job on these, I didn't get any this year so far

Biding your time eh Tim? I wish some were in my neck of the woods but that's the fun part of wildlife travel photography....almost everything is different from around my home territory.

Refreshingly wonderful Eric, nice color and detail on your featherd finds!
You even got pretty clear shots, that is something I struggled with all day yesterday shooting the Warblers!
Both #1 and #2 are sweet.
Karl
Thanks Karl...don't get me started on trying to get clean shots of warblers We almost willed these guys to get to a decent position and I can tell you my shoulders were pretty sore from hand holding the 600 and waiting for the moment.
