That rail shot is absolutely killer! Not often you get a clear view and you nailed it. Love the swallows chatting, and the RWBB's (especially #4) are terrific.
Good to have you back in the yak
Jim
Thank you very much Jim for the thoughtful comment, I appreciate it
I'm late to the party, Tim... but I also really, REALLY like all of these.
#3 looks like the one swallow is about to impale itself as it lands .
It probably didn't.

It's never too late for the party Charlie!!! Thank you for stopping by and leaving such wonderful words.
Another wonderful set Tim with # 3 being tops for me for how you captured the fully outstretched wings.
I remember when getting Rails was such a unique experience but now you are just churning them out
Lovely pose on the RWBB in # 4. The one in # 5 must be a distant relative but nice to see it got somewhat rehabilitated
Cheers,
Martin

Great set Tim. I do like this barny better as the cat tail ends in frame compared to your other post. #1-4 are my picks for the head angles.
Thanks for the nice words and crits Herb, I appreciate them!
Fantastic set! I particularly like the chat between the barn swallows. I sat for an hour today watching several darting around catching bugs and waiting for them to stop on a cattail, but no luck. So that is a great capture...well done.

Thank you Den. That's one advantage to shooting from a kayak, the birds tend to act quite naturally as you float motionless, meaning not paddling. I watched these swallows for quite some time. A very pleasant and relaxing experience.
