I'm fairly new to portraiture and studio lighting, so when my in-laws asked me to look after their dog for the weekend, I thought it would be an ideal opportunity to get in some practice.

Here are a few of my better efforts. C&C welcomed. Thanks for looking.

All shot with D7100, f/8. 1 and 2 with 50mm f/1.4 AF D, 3 with 85mm f/1.8G. Processed in LR4, 1 and 2 converted to mono in CS6 via the Russell Brown method.

Very nice job, I bet your in laws would love one of those printed out. I like the last one best!

Thanks for your comments. I've mounted the first and third prints for entry into my local camera club's latest photo contest. Once I've got them back, I'll be gifting them to my in-laws
