Your pretty close to the shore when you park in both areas. As far as the kayak/canoe go you just never know where there going to dive for fish or be harassed by the eagles.
I shoot from land and hope for the best. Also you need a lot of patience.

Another terrific set, Rick! Like everyone else, I like the osprey-eagle showdown, and i also really like #4. You've done very well to expose properly and get lots of detail, and the backlighting gives a nice effect.
