I think the figure works well here. Also like your choice to center the sun and figure. That is some nice looking surf.

A beautiful shot, Helen- with or without the girl.
I often prefer people in such images- when they are appropriate to the subject. And the girl is perfect for this one. More than the picture alone, I get a sense that someone else is finding this sunset worthy.

Love this one Helen!

The lighting and exposure are perfect but what I think makes this image strong is the inclusion of the child silhouette.
It tells a story.

Great shot. It's better with the girl, much more emotionally loaded, shows the awe of a little child facing of the power of nature.
