Thanks for the reply. I have not bought any new batteries yet. trying to confirm before I drop the money if these fit and work perfectly with the 7B packs. Did you end up replacing yours with a new Life battery?

I will be very interested to receive your feedback . I plan to order one for "old" accute.
My Tenergy LiFePO4 battery just arrived from all-battery.com and it's so light I thought there couldn't possibly be a battery in the box. Popped it into my old AcuteB 600 and it works like a charm! It showed red when I inserted it so I gave it a couple of pops to test and then plugged it in to charge.
I'd just like to add that I tested this battery and it gave me 187 full power pops before it needed to be charged. That's twice what any Profoto lead battery purchased from B&H and Vistek ever gave me. I don't know what a $600 Profoto Life is rated for but I'm very happy with this $75 battery in an old 600b. I understand the new Profoto Life battery won't even work in the old 600b.
The battery indicator light on the old 600b does not work with this battery but I can live with that.
Has anyone found a replacement for the 7b. The one linked earlier is no longer manufactured (k2b12v10e) and was curious if one of these would work. any feedback would be much appreciated.

I need some help, i have a pro b2 pack with an old dying battery ( old heavy battery) , after charging the battery, I had around 50 pops at full power and the whole time was only one red light on. And It was hard to pull out the battery.
After reading all the posts here if I want to change the battery to LiFe (the new lighter battery ) I have to do the following:
1, I have to take the pack to profoto for service update (125 usd)
2, look for tengery 12.8v 4.5 Ah LiFePO4 rechargeable battery
Can I use the original charger?
If no. I have to get the new charger from profoto?
I have two old 7b packs. Can someone recommend a company or person I can send in my battery and they do the labor? Also what charger do you recommend, I lost all my 7b chargers :/
Silvino's Pro Flash in LA will do the conversion. They do great work, I've had them convert a couple batteries to Lithium for me. I believe they have after-market chargers as well, or you can get them on ebay, specifically for the Lithium/profoto batteries.

Just wanted to get this bumped in the hope that someone would have an answer to one or both of these questions.
I just bought a 7b with lead cells and it's quite heavy; a reasonably-priced option for replacing the battery cells would be very welcome information.

If I remember correctly its $350 for conversion/re-cell to LiFe battery.
Had mine done and the battery is now 4.8lbs with a total weight about 18lbs with the pack.
Originally it was around 27lbs total. This is on a 7B.
