I went out in the last good snowfall we had about ten days ago.
Umbrella in one hand and camera in the other. It was a nice and cool winter and I'm ready for spring now.
Thanks for looking. Comments are always welcome.

The first almost looks like it has a texture overlay to me, must have been hard snow. I like No.2 because of the person strolling into the frame.

Thank you Douglas.
There was really heavy snowfall in the first image. It's basically OOC.
The person in #2 must have seen a rather similar image by looking at me.

A great set, Chris. Lovely high-key interpretations of a high-key scene.
Have you considered whacking off about half of the foreground in the last shot? It would place more emphasis on the beautiful tree.

Interesting, Chris, very interesting.
I like the additional closeup version.
It does, though, change my reaction to the basic shot by making it what I call a tree portrait (centered).
I was thinking more like my crop of your first post (below). Not that one is better than the other, but to me they have an entirely different "feel."

I might like to see a little more (ok, a lot more) blacks added in. I feel it would really give the images a lot more depth and texture.
That's just me and I understand you were trying to take the images in a particular direction, but that's just my two cents.
Thank you for the suggestion, Chris. I really appreciate it.
Adding black was the first thing I did in post but it didn't feel right to me for these images.
After all, I was out there in the middle of heavy snowfall in a really white world.
